About Me

I have always 'loved love' and wanted to be a celebrant for many years. I'd thought several times about completing the necessary study to become a celebrant, but as much as I believe in marriage and everything it represents, it was a huge conflict for me as I myself was not allowed to marry my female partner. It was hard to think about working in a field that didn't accept me, or my human right to marry. Thankfully this all changed in Australia on 9 December 2017!

Once the new laws passed, I decided to head back to school to gain the necessary qualifications to become a celebrant. Furthermore, my partner and I started making our own wedding plans, and a year later we literally ran away and eloped, no one other than the celebrant and the photographer knew. We eloped to a beautiful spot in Tasmania and announced our marriage via social media. It was a wonderful day and we wouldn't have changed a thing.

Laughter is one of my favourite things in the world, so if you want a bit of humour added to your ceremony I can do this. But if you are wanting a more formal or serious ceremony I can certainly accommodate this too. Your wedding is all about the two of you and I believe very strongly that the day should be about what you both want!

As a celebrant, my interest is in officiating small ceremonies and I have a special interest in elopements and same sex marriages. If you are looking for a celebrant to officiate a large wedding, I would likely not be the right celebrant for you, but I'm more than happy to have a chat with you and see what options might be available.
