Q. Is there a fee for an initial meeting?
No. The initial meeting is to discuss your requirements and to see if I am the right Celebrant for you. There are no obligations and no fees for the first meeting.
Q. What days are you available to conduct ceremonies?
I'm available to conduct ceremonies on weekends and evenings. If you are wanting a ceremony on a week day, this can be arranged with plenty of notice.
Q. What types of ceremonies do you do?
Wedding, Commitment, Vow Renewal, Baby Naming. I do not currently conduct funeral ceremonies.
Q. How much notice do you need before conducting a wedding ceremony?
The Notice of Intention to Marry (NOIM) must be submitted at least one month prior to the wedding ceremony. This is a legal requirement. There are some exceptions to this and further information can be found on the Attorney General's site
Q.Do you travel outside of Warrnambool to conduct ceremonies?
Yes. I'm happy to travel within Victoria. If the ceremony is further than 50 ks from Warrnambool, travel costs may apply.
Q.What if we have no idea how to write our wedding vows, are you able to help with this?
Absolutely! I can help you write your vows and personalise them to suit your needs.
Q.How does our marriage get registered?
After the ceremony, your documents must be forwarded to Birth's Deaths & Marriages (BDM) in the State where you were married. Your Celebrant can lodge them for you or you can lodge your own. There is a fee to lodge the documents which is $54.40 (as at April 2024). This fee usually increases each year.
Q.Can our children be part of the ceremony?
Yes! It is very common for couples wanting their children to be part of the ceremony and there are numerous ways they be included. This can be discussed at the initial meeting.
